    I wear black shoes with brown sporran leather regularly.

    Brown shoes with black leather sporran, not so much I think. I am sure someone like Panache or McMurdo could carry it off with aplomb in the right circumstances, but it doesn't feel right to me.

    Looks good Cower.
    I think if you don't have a pair of black and a pair of brown shoes it's better to go with the black shoes and brown sporran, stap, etc than the other way around.
    Just curious...which picture more closely shows the actuall color of the jacket?

    I would say the last.

    I may take better pictures when im home during daylight hours. Everything is poorly lit.

    Just a quick question -- is the image reversed due to a mirror? Traditionally, bonnets are pulled over the right ear, with the badge going on the left eye/side.

    Otherwise than that, I think you look a very pukka sahib to be sure.

    I'm thinking not. The buttons on the jacket and waistcoat appear to be on the correct side, so he is just wearing the bonnet reversed.
