Repairing Insect Damage

Hi!
This is my first post but I've been enjoying all of your useful insights and tips and wanted to contribute one of my own.
I just today picked up the Wm Anderson kilt that was made for my grandfather's wedding in 1938 and has not seen the light of day in ten years because of a moth attack.

did a better job than I could dare to hope of patching up the numerous large holes.
It was wonderful to see the kilt back to its old self as in addition to the great sentimental value it's in a beautiful sett of dress MacLean of Duart that you don't seem to be able to get hold of these days.
Veronica is based in Edinburgh and was a pleasure to deal with.

I didn't think to take any before pictures but will post some of the finished product. Some of the holes were almost big enough to put your pinkie through! The only thing she couldn't help me with was a rust stain from an iron kilt pin, but strategic placement of a regimental style rosette or a large kilt pin should cover that up.
Some years ago I managed to get a taxidermist to patch up the bald patches left in a full mask otter sporran left by a moth attack. Unfortunately he wasn't able to do anything about my own bald patch.

You actually made me do a double take there.
I spent New Year in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia and thought that you were welcoming me back from my trip. I was just wondering how on earth you knew I had been there and then I realised that you were sending me greetings from the Peach State.
The Republic of Georgia is a truly amazing place and as a Highland/Island Scot I felt completely at home in their mountains. My only regret was that, after lengthy debate and with severe luggage constraints, I did not bring a kilt with me for New Year. All my Georgian friends assured me that it would have just made their New Year if I had shown up kilted. I'll know for the next time.
I brought the house down with my toast to free Georgia on New Year's Eve. They are still smarting from the Russian invasion a few years back and to have a Scot toast their freedom in the local language meant a lot to them.
My only quibble with the Georgians is that their new national flag looks like five English flags in one.
