NOT France. Too many taxes to pay. Funny system for paying income tax. And their administration is really something that you don't want to find your way through!

Myself, I'd go back to Scotland. The only thing stopping me now is this bloody stupid french income tax system.

I've travelled quite a bit in 31 years military service and in my travels I've found places that I could easily live in but, like the saying goes, there's no place like home.

Someone mentioned Belize? I've lived there (for 6 months, back in the 80s). Nice place. A bit warm. The Cayes are like paradise. I went to San Pedro, as well. I think I prefer Caye Caulker, though. I had a great six months, but I don't really think that I could live there. It would be a very laid back life. Ok if you want the shorts and T Shirts kinda life. Don't even think of taking Scottish Highland wear there, unless you have a refrigerated room (cold storage) to put your kilts in. High humidité, coupled with high temperatures, just rots wool over there.
