Re: Kilt alterations
I can't help with referrals in your part of the world Big Maxie, but there are a number of members here who live in Scotland. I am sure one of them will pop in and give you some tips pretty soon.
Best of luck!
PS. Welcome aboard from Roseville, California

Congartulations on losing weight. Almost any reputable kilt maker can do alterations. One to recommend is Piob Mor in Blairgowrie who are the best kilt makers.

Re: Kilt alterations
Simplest thing to do is to move the apron edge buckles and the underapron strap. If you do a search here on the forum you'll find lots of posts on how to do it, including

Re: Kilt alterations
Barb has the best idea. If you don't feel confident and can't find a friend or relative who's good at these things to do it for you then any kilt maker will deal with it. Expect a charge around £20-30 or so
There are kilt makers in Ayr or, failing that, Glasgow
