How strange, but I don’t appear to have seen any Scottish kilt book, or advice from a Scottish kilt authority, which mentions carrying concealed handguns.

Is a handgun a kilt accessory? If I were to open a thread in the kilt accessories section about the merits of different types of flat screen TV, someone would quite rightly tell me that the topic didn’t belong in ‘Kilt Accessories’, even if I protested that I always wore a kilt while watching TV. Neither would it belong in the ‘Kilt Advice’ topic. Likewise the subject of handguns clearly belongs in the ‘Off Topic’ section.

Remember your own rules/advice. Kilts were not designed to be worn when carrying concealed guns. If they were, provision would have been made for carrying them. Therefore would it not be disrespectful to the Scottish National Dress if you did so, or is this yet another of the rules/advice which you intend to ignore just because it suits you to do so. Personally it doesn’t bother me one way or the other if you wish to carry a concealed weapon, but it definitely cannot be classified as a kilt accessory.

We have a saying here in the UK. “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” I will leave you to work that one out for yourself.
