And they do have some very handsome tartans that no one else weaves. I agree with PaulHenry that they are not my "go-to" tartan source, but for tartans that no one else weaves, or for a client who wants to keep the cost down a bit, I don't hesitate to order from them.

I have a Marton mills 13oz medium weight that I use for out on the hills it is in Dark Alba and I find it very good.

Marton Mills Jura is good material. I made two kilts of this material. It is a little bit more stretchy than Lochcarron but I think this is comfortable when you must sit in your kilt. The colours are not so bright but you can only recognize in direct comparison. The service and the delivery time is very good.
