    For the nine days I'd been wearing this kilt, I'd just been securing it at the waist with a kilt pin, then putting a belt over it. Today I added my own strap idea based on this.



    Basically, I took apart one of my cloth belts, attached the rings to a small piece of the belting to the inside of the outer apron, attached a long piece of the belting to the outside of the under apron.
    I pass the long belt through the buttonhole, bring it around the fell, and attach it to the rings on the outer apron.



    After installing it, I went for a walk/jog with the dogs, and I was really impressed with the comfort of this closure system.

    Any thoughts?

    What a great job you've done, the pleats are knife edge and the colours are superb. They are the best "Weathered" colours I have seen in a long time.
