Kilted Mecca
Hi chaps, I've been trying to catch up, good grief you've been busy. First thing I find is a chat room, Great, like it, and so many posts that this has to be one of the most active forums out there.
Edinburgh was, as usual, excellent, very cosmopolitan for a country boy like me. Spent most of my time catching up with friends, eating, drinking and arranging when to meet to eat and drink again.
Hank you'll love it when you get there, some time next week isn't it? Go to Maggie Dickson's on the Grassmarket for breakfast, it's one of the best in Edinburgh.
My second eldest lad has been measured for his 1st kilt, a denim as he's not keen on tartan, and my youngest son wore an old, cut down, Geoffrey Taylor kilt all week. I couldn't get him out of it. He loves the full traditional look and wants flashes, sporran, tartan and anything else that goes with it.
The weather has been fantastic, and we've had tea too the sound of pipes every evening.
An excellent week, oh and Hank I can reccomend the city of the dead tour. You ought to tap Al up for info as he gets to Edinburgh more than me and I normally end up being dragged round seedy backstreets by so called friends
Cheers Rhino
