Running. Sewing. Throwing. Gardening. Drinking beer. Whatever, but actually DOING SOMETHING. Not just standing there. Not standing around after you did something half an hour ago. Not standing around after you got out of the car and happen to be standing in front of a sign. Not standing somewhere, just to show off your new kilt.

DOING SOMETHING. fishing. Not standing around by the lake...actually casting or netting a fish. Leatherwork....not standing in front of your table with the sporran you just made in the background, but actually LACING the thing. Dancing....be actually DANCING, not standing around with your Lady and friends at the Scottish Society Gala Ball.

---and so on.

The POINT of this thread was to give guys a chance to show another side of this kilt wearing thing. There are a million threads and posts where the whole focus is A.) how totally grand we look, and B.) look at this KILT!!!

THIS thread is not about A. or B. It's about what you DO when you wear your kilt. So show us a picture of you DOING IT.

OK, rant over. I'm not angry, I don't want anyone to pull their pictures or anything silly like that. Life is good!.....Now, Carry on!

Believe me, I am in NO way angry at you. This thread is full of pictures of guys "standing there".... standing there at the Tartan Ball...standing in front of a sign on a road trip....standing in front of a wall to show off their new kilt....standing in front of the salmon smoker... and every one of those pictures is all about how great the kilt looks, and NOT about what the guy is DOING, at the time.

They're nice guys, every one of them. Nice pictures, too! .. and nice kilts. And maybe I'm Mr Grouchy...

But darnit, the title of the thread is the ACTION kilt pic challenge, not the "Here I am standing there" kilt pic challenge.

No, I'm not mad. No, I don't think you should take down your picture. For heavens sake, it's an online forum about kilts, there's nothing to get upset about here! But c'mon guys....IN ACTION.
