Re: For All Who Serve
Started out in the U.S. Air Force then on to the Army Reserves for a total of 22 years. Was an EMT, First Aider, or EMT-First Responder for 33 years. I've been a 911 dispatcher for 13 years this past May.
Therefore I checked 4 boxes, Air Force, Army, Health, and Other.

Re: For All Who Serve
I'm one of the very few male members of my family who never joined the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada (Canadian Black Watch) out of Montreal. Almost all the males on my fathers side were in the Regiment as were most the males in my paternal Grandmother's family. Most of my family has served in a war beginning back with the Boer War on through WWI and II. My grandfather survived WWII, but left his brother (my great uncle Bob) in Normandy. Interestingly enough, my great uncle Bob married in England and after he died, his pregnant widow moved to Canada to raise her son with his Canadian family........wonderful woman.
Anyhow, I likely would have joined the Montreal Black Watch if we hadn't moved away when I was young. In some small effort to carry on a family tradition of service, I've worked as a professional firefighter for the last 18 years.
I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
