These Kilts are Magnets!
Wore my casual outfit to Partick Thistle's Player of the Year Awards/dance on Saturday evening and at an Irish bar/club afterwards.
Never once had anyone say a bad word about wearing my national dress in Scotland.
The women here love seeing guys in kilts as was proven in both venues I attended. Some couldn't keep their hands off the kilt and others wouldn't take "no" for an answer... to dance that is
There were pictures taken of myself and another patron, both in kilts somewhere. If I track them down, I'll post them here. 8)

That's good to hear, an encouragement to us all. tho' for a moment I thought you meant to say "Patrick's thistle", the website cleared that up. A new tartan I wondered??

Holy dyslexia Batman! I thought it did say Patrick!

For the benefit of ignorant non-scots like me, Partick is a place name, near Glasgow I understand.

Well I have to say this is one of the big reasons that I wear Kilts. The comfort factor is a big reason, but the fact that women love men in Kilts and will go out of their way to prove it make it all very fun. I find that the women are much more open to meeting you and they don't seem to have the shyness they would if you were in pants. Being a young single MAN I will take all the attention that they throw my way!
Enjoy!

Again, it bears repeating:

Partick is in Glasgow's West End, however Partick Thistle play in Maryhill which is Glasgow's North West. They did play in Partick at one point in their history, hence the name.

Andrew you are so correct!!
My wife(elva) and I were in Vancouver BC the 7th, 8th and 9th of May and I had a wonderful time in my Kilts.
We were in Vancouver for my nieces graduation from the Emily Carr Institute on Grand Island.
I even had a gentleman and his lady friend stop me to comment about my Utilikilt. He said he would love
to wear a kilt but but had some fear. I told him don't be afraid, just go for it. His wife? took our picture together.
Will post more about my kilting in BC soon.

Robert,
I am happy to hear you and your wife had a great time up here in Vancouver. I am sorry we could not meet up, but my wife and I are in the final stages of buying our first home. If you ever make it up this way again, please drop me a line and we will have to have a pint.

I'm an old married man and enjoy any attention I can get . That's why I can't understand why folk go on about 'the cause' and getting more men in kilts. Are you insane :x keep the sheep in trousers, let the rams wear the kilts
Cheers Rhino
