Celtic Thunder kilts
Last night I attended the show Celtic Thunder in Melbourne Australia. It was also sort of a men's fashion parade, but at the conclusion, the five guys singing appeared in kilts and looked fantastic in tailored kilt suits apparently made by 21st Century kilts of Edinburgh. In a huge arena the effect of this was good but my wife and I saw them on TV a few weeks prior much closer up and we agreed they were the best presented guys we had ever seen on TV even if a couple of kilts were a bit long with little knee showing. The combination of grey kilt, waistcoats and jackets in our opinion is unsurpassed anywhere and shows how fashionable, indeed breathtaking, the kilt can be today. Two members of their band wore black kilts to good effect too.
Watch one of their videos and I am sure you will agree. The show itself was entertaining with a few well known songs plus a few new ones. To our minds a few more old standards and less new ones would have gone over better, regardless it is highly recommended.
