I thought those guys were out of business. I hope they are, anyway.

Oh, Maarrrrrk,
Here's something to ponder:

A whole-wheat biscuit just itching to receive her slathering of molasses and butter. (Or, in this case, Smart Balance.)

A sister biscuit bathed in molasses and coconut butter.
Why, yes, there are some of them left.

Just so it doesn't involve a flashlight. . .
Sydnie, Bob and Mother just back from our usual Sunday breakfast down at the local. Mostly eggs and such, although we occasionally indulge in their "challah toast" which is (probably literally) to die for. They even serve biscuits 'n gravy, but Mother's recipe beats all so we don't bother with any pale San Diego imitation.

Send them on down, I CRAVE them! I can almost taste them.
You got me hungry, so I fixed a souse sandwich and it was not as good as I remember from my childhood.
So, I ate a can of sardines and a couple of dill pickles.
However, I was scratching around in the pantry and found this: a collectable, I think:

My Granny, making molasses at the old home place:

Now, I have to try again on those bonnet photographs...................

Alas, David... Can't swing the necessary gas money, at this moment.
Mark, awesome picture.
...a granny theme seems to be in the works.

My Granny never made molasses, but she did hook rugs, similar to this:

She also tatted and crocheted, but not much in her later years.

That's a beautiful hooked rug. My maternal grandmother did similar, buying old clothing from Goodwill (or equivalent) and ripping it up for the materials she needed. She also taught all her granddaughters to play a mean game of cribbage.
