    It's a wonderful family treasure. Don't make it into anything it was/is not. We have a lovely old, moth-eaten blanket plaid that I am so thankful was not destroyed two (or three?) generations ago, but kept for just what it is. Today it's draped over an old high-back chair and sometimes becomes the subject for conversation. It's Mackenzie, too, and perhaps left behind by one of them who came to visit in the 19C Who knows? but we delight in the fact that it is here and can be touched.
