Argyll Hose the great hunt!

For a while now I've been on the hunt for people who can make Argyll hose. I am aware that several vendors on this site supply such hose but by the time I've factored in customs and post they come out at the same price or more than the price of hose here in the UK. With most of the UK makers an order of 10 is the minimum so that rules out most. One maker in the borders has said they can supply just one pair but contact with them is difficult and unreliable at best.

Anywho to my suprise while on a delivery in north yorkshire i cam across a wool shop they knew an old dear who could do the job after many calls and emails to her and getting the wool from Shetland, Sylvia is now in the process of knitting the hose.

Considering Sylvia has no experience with Argyll hose not a bad effort

Those are really sharp! I especially like the marled tone in the olive yarn.

I can't wait to see how these turn out.
