They certainly have been making improvements! Good for them, and thanks for the link.

Would their fabric be kiltable, or is it too thick?

They have a store web site and I see they have a registered tartan fabric made and may do commissions. They also have a dandy tweed fabric Im going to save for. Would make some fine breeks or jacket.

I "lend" the signature from the t-shirt. I started in 1995 with Linux, but before I had to work with Sinix in the late 1980s. Since 10 or so years there is no Win$ in the house

But now I also use OSX.

Re: Video of an old woolen mill in Scotland

I love the mill in the video, with all of the old machinery. What really struck me, though, was the incredible beauty of the countryside and the mill grounds. I'd be in heaven if I were the proprietor of that mill. While the great Northwest is not too far off, there's nothing like a view of Scotland (or Ireland for that matter) to set the Celtic heart to smiling!

Their 'Woolmill Tartan Worsted' would be about 10.5-11 oz. while their 'Woolmill Tartan Kilting' would be about 16 oz. I really like the tartan!

The 'Country Tweed' would be 19-20 oz. (?) I forget the math involved...

    So, yes. Very kiltable!

Me too, and it did get also the approval of the wife. Now, something to consider.

The tartan teddies are also cute. Would make a nice companion for my Guernsey Teddy (in a traditional Guernsey sweater and with basque)

You know, if they made a natural wool tartan...the Knockando in black/white gray, I would be all over it. Hmmmm.

I've contacted Moira via e-mail and let her know that we've become aware of the mill.

today I got the swatches for both weaves (10oz. / 16oz.)

the colours are darker than on the photos on the website.
I hope I get to make some pictures on the weekend in daylight.
