You are quite correct, Bubba. Another giant eruption in Yellowstone would be the geological equivalent of a meteor impact. It would lay waste to a large portion of the continental U.S., set the world economy in shambles, cause the extinction of some species, and alter the world climate for decades. It really wouldn't matter where on the planet you were... you would still be affected. Not a pretty picture. Might as well wear your kilts more folks... appease the tempermental Vulcan. Well..., I guess that will work just about as well as anything else. :o
