    Re: Off-season training

    Back at it....back is sore-ish, so I decided not to do squats. No point to get pranged up again..I just did fast DL's two days ago, so did Sumo DL high pulls without being "too sumo" instead.

    Stretch cage
    Sumo DL High pulls ... 6 x 4 x 115, dig in the heels, pop the hips, pull above the eyes. That's the biggest curl bar in the gym. If I want to go bigger, I'm going to have to use a straight bar and I know that hurts my wrists. I might try straps.

    Core 1 ... incline board situps with 10 lbs. Somebody put a 45 plate under the high end of the bench. Whatever, just an added challenge.... x17

    pin press...because o1d_dude suggested that I try them... 6 x 135 / 2 x 6 x 155 / 6 x 135 throw the bar through the ceiling. Though not so much on the last 6.
    single arm bench rows... 3 x 6 x 85 each side, super-FAST, but not too ugly.
    Core 2...landmines, 3 x 10 x bar+65

    curls ... injury prevention... 3 x 6 x 35 lb dumbells. Isolate. ugh.
    cable pull downs...did these differently, pulled from really high all the way through waistline to max extension down low. This is a serious grip workout, holding on to the damn rope. 3 x 6 x 75

    ````````````
    We're closing in on the "end of the offseason" here in California. The first CHAC practice is March 15th, we start in earnest on Wed march 21st.
    Re: Off-season training
    Alrighty, I haven't posted any training in a while.
    ...Mostly because I've been slacking on the training.
    So here goes:
    Fridays- gym (run on treadmill) and "quickie" toning.
    Sats- run up the bike trail, run back down the bike trail. Vacuum.
    Suns-run up the bike trail, run back down the bike trail.
    Good on 'ya GGGP. I need to train tomorrow. Workplace politics with large dollar values have got me off my game, and I need to back. It helps to see you all doin' it!! - Tom
