Greetings all,

Have any of you wondered about the first guy to wear pants, and how hard it must have been for him trying to explain to everyone why he is voluntarily putting himself in discomfort? He finally had success on his part but not in his life time.

So as we spread the joys of kilting throughout the world, it will be far more easier to get other males kilted, because of the comfort level primarily, so we kilted ones have the advantage. Just go convince all those unfortunate and uncomfortable souls that we are the ones with pure comfort and style.

Pants evolved with the barbarian horse tribes. They were more practical for riding than unbifurcated garments. Even Roman cavalry wore pants

I do agree with you bubba. I knew that it must have been the barbarians, but I do have a tendancy to talk outloud with my fingers. It drives people crazy, I love it.

But I still wonder what that horrible barbarian said to everyone.

Pants / trousera have been around for much longer. The 5300 year old frozen mummy of the ancient man found in the Italian Alps sported leather leggings... basic survival in an arctic environment. trousers were essentially an invention of necessity - not comfort or esthetics.
