Advice needed

I am attending a wedding on the 17th of March. I will be wearing a PC as requested by the Groom. My question is do I wear a belt with the waistcoat and PC, or just the waistcoat and PC? Please help.

I'd advise you to wear the waistcoat and leave the belt for another occasion. And take pictures of the cake!

The only mitigating circumstance that would make me say go with the belt over the waistcoat is if the waistcoat is too small/short. Nothing ruins the look of an otherwise well dressed gent quicker than your shirt poking out from under the waistcoat and above the kilt.

Wear the 3-button waistcoat. Don't wear a waist belt.

Wear the waistcoat, not the belt. I thnk it looks nicer. I would only wear a waistcoat and belt together if I was wearing a dirk to a very formal event and needed a place to hang the dirk frog.
