Quite frankly I was personally offended to see them thus attired. I knew the promoter hired them for their physical characteristics and dressed them scantily for the express purpose of getting the attention of the men. I hate being played like that. It makes me feel like the promoter thinks I'm stupid. I was happy to discover such pleasant personalities inside the ridiculous costumes. That they overcame their situation made these women more human to me.

If these ladies were as charming as you say (and I don't doubt for a moment that they were), then how do you know that they were hired for their physical characteristics? Unless you talked to the promoter, you couldn't know that for sure.
