There are legitimate reasons for dress codes. safety is the primary one. Also decency. Then a company might have a certain image that's important to it's customers. I school the only one with a valid application is decency.What you run into with "officials" is they don't want to have to think. Everything must be precisely as written in the rules and the rules must cover every contingency. If something comes along that doesn't fit, if it isn't expressly permitted it's forbidden. These are small people with small minds living in a constant state of fear that something might change.
