    Quick Opinion Question

I'm a big fan of the Black Watch Tartan, especially the fact that it is a little darker than most of the other tartans I usually see (Royal Stewart and "Loud" Macleod come to mind) Anyways, waht I want to know is if anyone out there has any suggestions for a tartan that is similar to the Black Watch, something dark, or that might look good on me. My photos in my personal gallery if that gives anyone any ideas. I was looking at the Farqharson (sp?) on the USA Kilts site, and i'm not sure, but maybe some others. Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.

You may find something you like. Have you thought about the Black Stewart?

I like Hunting Stewart. It has a lot of the same colors as Farqharson, but the dark blue is more prominent.

Stewart Black is pretty cool too, if you like a black base to the tartan.

I think that you'd look great in either of these tartans - and they're definitely on the darker side of things. I know that Rocky at USA Kilts ordered some Hunting Stewart poly Viscose that should be coming in pretty soon. I might even let you have some if you're nice.

Black Stewart would look good. Just enough color to add character.

I agree Phil. Gunn is my Clan and I particularly like the tartan in Ancient Colours.

The modern Gordon (my clan) is dark blues and greens with a yellow stipe for a suttle splash of colour.

Looking for a dark tartan? There is one that is called "Dark Shadow", "Dark Island", "Black Rose", "Black Shadow"... Depending on where you go. It's a Black background with a darker black plaid pattern thru it. I tried to scan the swatch I have from my supplier, but it didn't quite show up.

    FOund it here tho.

    Type '5832' into tartan name
