Elkommando returns

I have the EK in XXL so you can see I don't do enough hiking, but I have found it ideal for gardening--with all the bending and kneeling it gives more room than pants or shorts (too-tight jeans could cause a serious injury).

As to the dimensions, my XXL is 24" long (I'd prefer it a wee bit shorter), and the waist snaps seem to be set at 44."

Tried it but never used it. I chose to wear a kilt, not shorts
It takes all the "kiltness" away. It makes it look like baggy shorts from the rear, but with the over-apron up front it looks the same. I suppose the snaps add some weight to help keep the hem down in a breeze. Other than that, they just feel cold when they touch your leg.

Never used the snaps on the EK nor the Utilikilts. The only kilt I have that is a problem on my bicycle is my super light weight hiking Sport Kilt. I just move the kilt pin closer to the center of the apron.

Maybe if you fall asleep in the park or like doing cartwheels?

Heading to Seattle this weekend and will try one on at the REI Flagship store there. Hoping it's as good as I imagine. If this doesn't work, I'm leaning towards the Sportkilt hiker. Will report back next week.

Terry I love my SK Hiker (Pacific Blue) they are very light and cool but be sure to wear a kilt pin. I have had this one do the full Marilyn on me twice.
