well, seems to be the curse of different time zones. At the time of your post it was 1:30 AM in the UK. The perfect time for server maintenance.
Though a out-of-service page might be a good idea.

Our servers do occasionally reset themselves, which can lead to them being down for a minute or two. But it shouldn't be longer than that. If you have any problems beyond this, I'd always be grateful for any further details (such as an exact time) so we can investigate in our logs. Sorry for the nuisance!
