Blade is from Atlanta cutlery. Antler is from a poor tastey young buck that happened to get too close during hunting season. The sheath is from a piece of 10oz leather that I had and hand stiched. The stiching is a artificial sinew.
That is a very nice job. I recognized the blade as I use them to make skeans as well. I like the AC blades OK but they are smaller than the standard skean blade which means you have to scale down the handle or it does not look right. You did an excellent job as to the proportions of blade and handle.
The concho looks good but you might also contact Ted Sheldon in Mrfreesboro, TN. Ted is an excellent pewterer and makes a very nice Celtic button which I use on dirks and skeans. His email is pewter1776@comcast.net.
They appear to be the Damascus version of the Atlanta Cutlery sgian blade. I think they look good but the figure is not as subtle as that of higher quality damascus. I have tried to buff them a bit in hopes of making the Damascus pattern a bit less bold but without success. I fear it will require more stock removal than is prudent to make that work, not to mention the time and effort involved.
