Kilted Family
Like many, I wore my first kilt for a wedding and immediately appreciated the look, feel and response it recieved. My wife thought it great so I began to do the prerequisite research into all manner of kilts.
A month ago I bought my first, a Utilikilt which was immediately followed by a Sportkilt. My wife also took to them and ordered a hiking Sportkilt for herself. We plan on ordering a couple more in time for the Costa Mesa, CA games.
Susan and I live in San Clemente, CA. I'm an Environmental Safety and Health Director for a large international building materials firm. We're both about 5-7 years away from retirement which hopefully will pass quickly.
My mother's maiden name was Scott, so there's a bit of Scottish blood in me which justified purchasing a Scott clan tartan.
Enjoyed reading this forum for many months before taking the plunge. Seems like a good bunch of kilt bros.
Susan and I love to hike and will be doing so in kilts this summer.
Cheers, all.
Terry Tyson

Welcome from NorCal! Whenever I wear a kilt I wonder why I ever wore pants.

from the northern part of the Old Dominion.
Many years ago (while serving at Camp Pendleton) my then-bride and I lived in San Clemente (Avenida Palisada) - we enjoyed its Old California charm and easy access to the beach.
