			What was I thinking...?

Yesterday I was in a clothing store and found a great deal on a Tommy Hillfiger shirt (the only one left in my size). I didn't buy it because I didn't think it particularly went with any of my kilts. Today I relented and went back to the store to buy it... - gone. Someone else had bought it. I'm afraid this "kilt" thing has affected my better judgment.

					Blu,
You should have bought the shirt, then get a kilt to match.

Well, don't feel too bad. At least you didn't pass up an opportunity to get a good kilt.

And you saved the money......Use it for a new Kilt

...Don't think I haven't thought about it! I'd order another kilt tomorrow if I thought I'd live to tell about it. Unfortunately, we've got a large wedding to pay for and other expenses this year. Maybe next.

					Blu,
Just curious are you using your influence to make it a kilted wedding?

I know that it is tough even if you are paying the tab.

Congratulations on the addition to the family.

Glen, the groom and his family are very Italian and quite a few of his relatives are flying over from the old country to be there. The bride to be, (my daughter), has this notion that only eccentric people or pipe bands wear kilts... the facts notwithstanding. Didn't want any kilts in the picture at all as far as the formalities are concerned. We did, however, come to a compromise of sorts. Although the ceremony itself will be "tuxedoed", I'll be changing to a kilt for all of the festivities afterward. Not my preferred scenario but it is their day.

					Blu,
What a wise decision. I had a similar
dilemma at my own wedding. I could have forced the
issue. But my wife's family would not have
understood and it would have been a HUGE conflict.
I also know it’s a day my wife had dreamed about since she was
a little girl. I chose the path of least resistance on that
day. This has led to many wonderful days of
 being kilted since then.

Sometimes a little compromise now and again pays off in spades. There are more important things in life than clothing.

					Blu,
Glad to hear of the compromise, after all it is their wedding. It certainly sounds like you will have a wonderful time, just hope that being tuxedoed even for a short time will not dampen your spirits, of course it is an event of a lifetime.
