My 8 yard poly-vis is fine for summer weight. The only difference I found between it and the worsted wool is the fabric surface characteristics. I find myself flattening out the aprons with the palm of my hands after standing up. Since I only have the one, I don't know if this common or not. It's not a big deal at all.
As far as routine... weekends = kilts (mostly) Can't be bothered during the week.
