From another person who had to have open-heart surgery almost 2 years ago (aortic repair due to an aneurysm caused by as then undiagnosed Marfan syndrome) at 43, well done and congratulations. I hope you have very many returns of the day

You look just fine and I am sure you feel as good as you look. Some times stuff just happens and it is hard to find a reason for it. I became diabetic at 64, 13 months ago for no apparent reason; no real genetic history and at 6'2" I weighed 195 pounds. I now weigh 155 and am off all medication for it, again for reasons the doctor explained but I don't fully understand.

Be happy, enjoy yourself and don't worry about it. Keep a healthy lifestyle and you will be around for a very long time. Happy anniversary.

TheBrus -Congratulations on celebrating your "anniversary"!

I myself suffered a heart attack last September... an event that spurred me to place my exploration of my Scottish heritage first among my "bucket list". I survived thanks to a little good fortune, a helpful neighbor, a responsive EMS crew, an outstanding cardiologist (himself an Irish born man - Dr. Duffy!), and the technology that created the stent I now have installed in the right coronary artery.

As it goes, your young age is not all that unique. My grandfather (himself born in Scotland, in 1901) died of a heart attack at age 38 (just weeks before my father's 12th birthday.)

I congratulate you on your milestone, and wish you many decades of happiness, kilted, and otherwise!

    Ken

    Congrats The Brus !

Looking sharp in the pic and looking the picture of health !

I've heard that being kilted from time to time will add about 100 years to one's life , so live healthy and long !

My best to ya , Mike
