You are killing me here Derek, would so love to get back to the UK but a big lottery ticket is our only hope. Fab piccies and give my regards to the Skirrid next time you're in (Inn?), we have wonderful memories of our two visits there!

Nice photos. I've been to the Skirrid Inn; many years ago my group popped in for hot food whilst we were doing our Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award.
I grew up in Barry and have been to the Blue Anchor several times. My friends preferred the Fontygary at the other end, or the Green Dragon.

Reason: Edited because I misspelt Fontygary.

SR ... its been many years since we have been to the Fonty and have only been a couple of times to The Green Dragon where they used to do a cheap cooked dinner 7 days a week in their cavery. Thanks for reminding me about that one ... will go and take a visit there soon and post some pics.

Thanks Derek ... fantastic pictures of beautiful places. I too hope for a lottery win, but will probably have to scrimp & save for a 25th anniversary trip to the United Kingdom. A couple of years away still, so there is hope ... thanks again for the inspiration.
Cheers!
