Ok, is there a be all/end all book? If so, where do you purchase it foir the best price? Are there several? Goods and bads of each? ...and again, best price/place to purchase? If there is someone here that carries a book that is nearly, but maybe not the *best* price, I'd just as soon pay a little more to the "little guy" rather than some no-name whomever on ebay or similar. Thanks in advance. Oh, traditonal kilt making, but could include casual kilts, as well...but I am much more interested in traditional.
Barb and Elsie's book The Art of Kiltmaking is the go to reference. There is a box pleat PDF supplement from Matt which is very useful as well. With those and the X-Kilt manual from Alan I image you can keep yourself busy for quite some time. I bought another book on Kilted Skirtmaking, but it's really not very useful.
The STM gift shop keeps the Art of Kiltmaking in stock. It's really the best and only reference on the subject. http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/books.html
