Something that was said to me way back in 1970 -

"Funerals are not for the dead; they are past feeling pleased or offended. Funerals are for those of us left behind; for the living."

A funeral is part of the grieving process and is private to each individual and must be done by each person in their own way.

    Regards

Well put! If wearing your kilt helps you honor someone, by all means wear the thing!

I think the single most annoying thing about this kilt forum is the constant drumbeat from a percentage of our membership about all the various times and places not to wear a kilt!

Father Bill, how do I do this wearing a kilt, I live in a small midwest town, not many kilts. ( I am the only one that has one ) She enjoyed me coming to visit in my kilt, ( she asked if I would ) so are you saying I should dress like everyone else and not wear my kilt in her honor? I am sure I will be the only one kilted, so yes I will be noticed.
If you're sure she wanted you to do it, then fine I would think, but make very sure that the family knows that when you see them.
