Chris, I too agonized over my buisness name, trying to find the "right" one. These are all good names that have been posted, each from a different perspective, which can be insightful. When you happen across the "right" one, it'll kinda stick with you!

Chris,
Customkilts has a nice comfortable and friendly ring to it, a good choice.

Wouldn't you know it. There just happens to be a domain name-squatter on customkilts.com. Sheesh.

Are you gonna pay the claim-jumper or do some more head (and butt) scratching?

Graham, I believe a domain name squatter is someone who takes an internet address (in this case www.customkilts.com) because they think that it may come in handy at a later date. Sometimes they can get people who want to have that address to pay them for the address. In some cases celebrities have taken them to court and won the rights to a domain name that is their legal name that a squatter grabbed when the celebrity was starting out, hoping to make a buck off the address in the future.

Alaskan hit Graham. They are just out to make a quick buck. I think half of them end up holding the domain and never using or selling it. Silly squatters...

Chris,
I was reviewing this thread and I had a thought that does not appear to be expressed here, that you may want to consider in your name choice. That is, the matter of confidence to enter into an internet transaction with what is preceived as a reputable company.
