"Your jeans match your girlfriends', and you think I'm dressed like a girl?"

1) What's wrong? Ugly knees?
2) Did y'all call each other before you got dressed this morning?
These two get my vote!!

Brillant idea, lol!
If I were a guy, after the comment, I'd say, "ok there, mom-jeans".

The last negative comment I got was the standard, "Nice Dress!" My retort was "Thanks! You know my wife has pants just like those!" He had no comeback and wandered away.
I really think it's the speed of the rejoinder which will throw them off. Don't give them time to think.

"Aye, it may look like a skirt to you, but my lady-friends call it barding."
That one may be too cryptic to be effective.
More pants-specific:
"So, that inseam...must act as a roadmap so's your girl can actually find what she's looking for."
