    Welcome, kilted in KC...

I too am happy to see a younger chap embrace the kilt. As you've probably gathered from other posts on the forum, the ladies love to see a man in a kilt. I will be curious to know what kind of reactions you get from guys your age and younger. Keep us posted and don't forget to post some pix when you get a chance.

    Cheers,
    blu

A 98 Sportster with a suicide clutch! That's a bit extreme. You must be a very old soul or reincarnated scooter trash to have come up with that! Is it a stock frame? What else have you done to it? Just trying to picture what you're doing there. Been on a few choppers and wild rides myself, but now I'm just an old geezer on a Glide.

    about my harley

thank you to everyone for the welcome

    about my harley.

it is a stock frame a stock 883 motor a stock sporster tank that will be painted sometime in the summer, i am going to put red maltese crosses on the sides of the tank and a skull in the middle, i took off the fenders and have no fenders on it and dont plan on putting any on, it has 12 inch ape hanger bars on it and i changed the turn signals to smaller ones and put maltese cross mirrors on, i am going to use brass knuckles as foot pegs and am putting a longer peg for the suicide clutch on too.

the conversion to suicide clutch and jockey shift was fairly easy all ya have to do is make a bracket, cut the cable, if you have forward controls it helps too and then flip the shifter peg upside down and put a piece of pipe on it, mine has a chrome skull on top of it.

i will post some pictures of me and my harley some time next week, i will be kilted of course

    thank you

I hope it gets there on time .
The worst thing in the world (as anyone here will tell you.) is having to wait for the postman to deliver your new kilt. (I waited 12 weeks for my first)

One reason I make my own kilts. No waiting for delivery

    12 weeks wow

i would go insane waiting that long expecualy if it was my first kilt.

i might have to wake up before noone to wait for it to get here, hopefully it will be here before noon.

if i wake up before noon it is a special ocassion and my first kilt is a definant special ocassion.

my dad has the next few days off so he can sign for it too, mom has a convention to go to so dad took thursday and friday off.

    thanks

    Welcome kilted in kc

I share everyones frustration on waiting for stuff to arrive. here in Hawaii you can at least a week and up to 6 months for stuff to arrive. I;m sure you will feel right at home here. As for the Harley, it sounds cool. I'm more of a sport tourer guy myself.
