Victoria in May
I'm planning on being based at Sooke from 16th to 21st May and taking in either the Saturday or Sunday of the Victoria Games on 19th/20th.
Who else is going?
Will there be a Victoria kilt night in May?

There had better be! I'll be at the games both days, Alex, and look forward to seeing you when you're out on our island!

Re: Victoria in May
We will be at in Victoria May 19/20 for the Games also. A kilt night in Victoria would be a fine thing. For me a Saturday night would work for me. We are planning to go to the Games both days. It will be good to meet you Alex. We will haul you back to Vancouver and make sure we ship you back home in more or less one piece.
It will be good to meet you again Macman and ThistleDown.
If you Islanders plan maybe we can get some Mainlanders to join in.
For sure will we will be there.
Keep me informed.
I know Canadian Sushi will be on the Island earlier this May but only one trip allowed this May so unfortunately we will not be able to meet him.

Re: Victoria in May
If someone wants to take the bull by the horns and organize an actual Kilt Night, that would be lovely. Because The Wizard and I (and KiltedWolfman) are involved as vendors at the Games, we really have little time to do more than say hello to people as they wander by the tent.

Re: Victoria in May
One of my cousins is organising a family gathering at Sooke for Sunday 20th May so we will probably only be at the games on Saturday 19th, when we will probably travel by bus to and from Victoria. I am not sure of bus times for getting back to Sooke from Victoria on a Saturday evening so may need to pass on a Victoria kilt night this time, but not a problem as we should probably all meet up at the games during the day.

Shameless bump.
Three weeks from now, God Willing, I should be back in Canada.
Looking forward to meeting Xmarks friends old and new at the Victoria Games on Saturday 19th May.

Alex, I think our band is the duty band on Saturday, and we're probably doing a set sometime during the day. We usually tune up pretty close to the Freedom Kilts tent, so I'll watch out for you.

The Lass & I will be the games as well. We will only likely be there Saturday only.
I look forward to meeting any of the rabble that will be there.

Alex...for sure I will be looking for you. The offer still stands for for you and your Partner should you be with you. We will take you back to Vancouver, stay overnight and pour you on the Sea Buss out to the Airport on the Sky Train to get you back home. You would be more than welcome to stay with us in Vancouver as long as you want. We can show you around our City should you decide to stay a few days more than what you had planed. I know that changing your flight plans can cost but a bit more coin but it could be worth it for you.
I am looking forward to getting to know you
Kindest regards
Jim and Ingrid
