Welcome aboard!
You wouldn't happen to be the author of a number of Osprey books on Japanese history and samurai, would you?

Wow! Thanks for all the warm greetings, and especially the kind words on de-bulking.
I love that kilty fellowship.
Mike, a million thanks (with inflation, that's more like 1.5 million) for all that info. You've made this Franklin man very happy. I can't wait to start looking in on folks.

Oh, hey... just noticed page two.
Yup, Cygnus, that would be me. One of the greatest brain-seizures I ever had was at the Tokyo Highland Games, when a whole bagpipe band full of kilted Japanese guys came into view. Another fond memory was the Tokyo Brit-cuisine restaurant "1066" -- owned and run by a gentleman named Stephen Goode, and his wife (whose surname was "Cook" -- yes, "Goode-Cook"), and their spectacular haggis. Mmmm.

Welcome from Valparaiso, IN. I'm kilted on a regular basis, and other than the curious stares, and the smirks from the "good ol' boys", I haven't had any problem. Maybe because I can deadlift 2x most persons bodyweight. Anyways, I don't care what other people think, they've most def seen worse(skinny jeans? Really?).

Welcome from Cincinnati. My wife and I are members of the Scottish Society of Indianapolis as well as the Cincinnati Caledonian Society. Mike is 100% correct - there are many great events here in our area.
