    Stillwater Kilt question...

    Hullo gents,
I've just purchased a kilt from stillwater but I need to re-alighn the first pleat. any recomendations on how to do this easily and with minimal risk of ruining the kilt? I totally dig it otherwise but the first pleat stick out a we bit and looks kind of silly...

    any advice is appreciated...

    Thanks...

I second that, Bubba. Just follow the instructions about re-positioning the pleats and iron. That's it!

I posted on this problem a while back. It seems that the condition exists mostly with light to medium fabric kilts. I was able to minimize the effect by both leaving a little more slack in the lower right hand side strap, and re-positioning the offending pleat by marking the correct position while being worn and then re-ironing. You can also rotate the kilt on the hips slightly in that direction to lessen the pulling effect .

I have also taken off the lower right strap and buckle and they don't pull anymore. Guess it's just my big butt!
