I'm not a religious guy (I was a confirmed Lutheran but now I'm a dudeist priest, and take it seriously), but grew up in an area with a lot of native Americans, and sort of hold to their views in a way. I know how sacred this is. I'm also extremely superstitious and believe.. make that hope.. that no good will come to those who did this.
I'm not a hunter or trapper, though I've been both at various times over the years for purely subsistence purposes. And I'm not religious in any formal sense. I do, though, have ancestry among the Lakota (a several-times-great-grandaddy Long Bull who was at the Little Big Horn) as well as the Choctaw, Cherokee, Comanche, and Cree. And my late paternal aunt Seago Blackstar Whitewolf having been the last surviving Comanche medicine woman, I can understand something of the significance of all this to the First Nations peoples.

One thing I'm wondering about, Mickey, though it's a bit off-topic:

    I'm a dudeist priest
I have to ask: Dude. . .what IS that exactly?

ADDING: Never mind, my google-fu has prevailed.
