New Brave ad...

Not the best portrayal of kilted men but somebody somewhere might find it funny...

After seeing that, I fully expect the men in my house to show up to the theatre to see this movie in kilts.

Our scottish society is working with one of the movie houses for the premier night.

A group of us in the central Florida area are planning to go see this film ... I am so looking forward to it!

I see the makers of the movie have branded the kilt 'a skirt' in the trailer for the picture. They call the kilt 'a small plaid skirt'.
The Scottish Kiltmakers Association spokesman, Duncan Chisolm,has stated that he does not like the term skirt because of its feminine associations.
Perhaps it is a film that all kiltwearers should boycott?

I think that is a trifle excessive. By strict definition, a kilt IS a type of skirt. The trailer is overwhelningly positive in its attitude toward kilts. Let us not be overly sensitive about what is, afterall, intended to be humorous.

Thanks Cygnus. I could watch them there. The kids ran over to the computer to watch them with me and said they wanted to go. I told them fine, but I will be kilted when I go. They changed their minds. NOW, I know how to save money when going to the movies. Wear a kilt and I won't have to pay for two more tickets, drinks and popcorn!
Geoff;
I agree with you. No sense getting upset about calling it a skirt. I was obviously meant as a joke.

I disagree, the kilt is not a "SKIRT" it is a blanket.
