Thanksgiving Point Highland Games, What's it like?

We're thinking about driving down from Montana for the Utah Highland Games at Thanksgiving Point in June. I've heard that it's a huge event and that there are more Pipers per capita in Utah than there are in Scotland. What say the Rabble? Is it going to be worth the drive?

Come on Down, we'd love to have you!! The Games at Thanksgiving point are really good, and if you like Pipebands you're in for a treat. we'll have 1 Grade 3 band, 10 Grade 4 bands and 4 grade 5 bands. Plus tons of soloists. I'm in a Local Band (Wasatch and District) and I love competing there. It's small as far as land goes but there are tons of Vendors and Clan tents. Plus you have the Heavy Athletics and Dancing. As for "more Pipers per capita in Utah than there are in Scotland" I'm not sure, but there are alot!! Come on Down, It'll be worth it!!

Be sure if at all possible to be there. You can count on great crowds and lots of fun. For entertainment there will be the Wicked Tinkers and Mollys Revenge. They are both terriffic and big crowd pleasers. There will also be massed band show. Lots of pipe bands, clan tents to see and plenty of food to eat. Make sure and bring and wear your kilts, there will be lots of them.

I have not been for a few years but when I have gone it has been great. Wicked Tinkers always put on a great show. I will be there this year.
