Hello from FL
Just wanted to drop by and say hello.
I am looking into my 1st Kilt purchase
with the prices being pretty high i am doing some bargin shoping. I tend to like the Utilikilt so far for price and seems to be a quality maker as well.

Welcome to Xmarks Miah.
I am sure you will make lots of friends here, amd if you need any advice, there are lots of guys here who are only too willing to give you the benefit of their experience. I don't have a Utilikilt, but I am sure you won't be disappointed if you decide to go ahead with a purchase.

Miah welcome, Don't feel that price is a concern on kilts I have several all around the price of Utilikilts. Check out the kilt sights here on xmarks, all are great kilts. Some brave souls here make their own kilts, that too is an option. Cannot wait to hear about what you decide on the kilt and also the experience of purchasing or making, waiting, and of course wearing. You have come to the right spot.
Again welcome.

Howdy Miah. For a tight budget, other than making your own, you might look at www.stillwaterkilts.com

well looking around the board there are many options i did not see before, now i am in debate of wether to go with tartan or a more modern style that is plain.
this would be my 1st kilt, and i want to get one that i can wear a good bit and get a feel for it. the other side of it is I tend to be abit lazy and the idea of ironing out kilts and pressing them does not seen to be something i would want to do.

Welcome Miah. Noticing your location reminds me of a post I saw some where that might apply for you. The person in question wore an all black kilt and when they were asked what clan that represented they replied (insert drum roll here)"Clan Destin". You have to say it out loud to get it, corny as it is, and I still chuckle when I think of it. Welcome again, and trust us (if you still can after that) whatever tartan or plain color you choose, this is the beginning of a grand adventure.

Hiya Miah,
Check out my Compare Kilts page. It saves you a bit of time looking for all the different links to casual kiltmakers. It's not a complete list but it should save you some typing and time.

Go'dag from Norway Maih,
Best of luck with your kilt choice. There are a lot out there.I personally prefer Tartan kilts. However, Utilikilts do offer some modern advantages over the trad kilts. What ever you decide to wear be careful ,as others have said ,"It's an addiction,"as is this forum
Welcome.....
