Just a bother question to all - I've had conflicting info on whether I should wear a belt with a prince charlie and waistcoat. When I got my kilt I was told I shouldn't but of course many online shops show with and without. Any ideas?
Cheers!

Generally you don't wear a belt with a waistcoat, as the buckle can distort the line of the waistcoat, and that doesn't often look good!

I wouldn't wear a belt with a waistcoat.
I also would not trust pictures used to sell stuff...they WANT you to buy a belt (from them) so don't always have pictures that are more proper for the style the model is wearing.
That said, I prefer to keep my business with advertisers on this site that I have come to trust. That way I know what I am getting.

As said if you are wearing a waistcoat then there is no need to wear a belt. However if you intend to wear the kilt at some point without a waistcoat then in my opinion a belt finishes the look
