Just back from the festival. Great weather, super music, and nice people, plus, thanks to the Power of the Kilt, free shortbread cookies at the gate for the kilted. A good time was had by all, well, at least all the Thomas family.
Just returned from the festival. It was fun to see the pros throw heavy stuff, had some pretty good marks today. Sunburned my knees today. Ern, sorry you couldn't make it and hope everything if OK.
Sorry I missed the thread until today. I managed to make it to the festival about 1PM and had a pretty good time. The only two downsides that I saw was the lack of Guinness or good stout and once again they had the beer area roped off. I miss the openness of the Urbana site. I was very happy to see so many vendors and hopefullly they made some money. I did buy a new fur sporran, so we'll see how it goes with my other kilts.
It was also great to see some old friends and I was able to get my yearly fix of Welsh cookies I did see svc40bt walking by when I was chatting with the O'Brian tent. When I was done I went looking for him, but he must have left by that time. Sorry I missed the get together, but I'm glad several showed up and enjoyed the day.
We were there and had a good time. Beautiful weather. Lots of people. Spent a lot of time at the O'Brian tent. Learned a lot. I had my barstool in the truck, but I didn't take it out. Ground too rough.
