Okay, perhaps I shouldn't drink and post. I meant to say "guidelines" not "guikelines."

Don't worry Philbo, it just adds color to the discussion, and in a way more acceptable than swearing

Just in case no one figured that out there is a swear word filter and that word can be considered dirty here without the cat association. That is so all of you dont think Al is some wierdo. I also changed it in his original post so that the filter would let it by...
OOps. I had no idea. The word is perfectly OK here. Though the bit without the 'cat' probably has the same slang meaning here as it does over there!
Having said that, the word 'fanny' appears OK in the US but would earn you a slap over here. Funny world.

I about feel out of my chair Al, then I realized it must be a case of vernacular differences like "boot", "bonnet", "bloody" etc.
Hope you didn't hurt yourself. It's a term used to describe a personality. If you're described as a p----c-t it usually means you have a gruff or aggressive exterior, but a bit of a softy underneath.
Vive la difference

I really do not see anything wrong with using the p-----cat word. For centuries, here in the United Kingdom, it has been a word children have been encouraged to use to describe domestic cats. Even adults, when calling their cats call out, "Here p---y! Come on p---y!"
Even Mrs. Slocombe, in the TV comedy series "Are You Being Served?", called her cat by that name!!!!
