    A Kilted New Mexico Weekend

There were three seperate events that I had the pleasure of attending kilted this weekend.
The first was the Rio Grande Celtic Festival in Albuquerque.
As soon as we entered the grounds we ran into Kathy Lare, my Kiltmaker, and her husband.
I have started using Riverkilt as a mentor and am wearing a big hat also.

The games kicked off with the Air Force Color Guard

Then my camera went crazy and I have no more photos of that day. Hopefully Rob MacMillan will post some of his photos. Of course I recognized him by his dandelion.

The next morning we did the Kirking of the Tartan in Taos.

Here are Piper Robert Knudsen, Piper Angus MacDonald, Redheaded guy Gordon Johnston, and Piper Charlie Rafferty.

Finally we ended up at a dear friends graduation and I had an opportunity for a photo with my darlin' bride Maggie.

Si Deus, quis contra? Spence and Brown on my mother's side, Johnston from my father, proud member of Clan MacDuff!

I like your hat sir! Few can pull that sort of thing off with a kilt but it works well on you. Cheers!

Gordon, et. al.: Sorry I could not attend. My son and I did some work on our homes that badly needed doing. Maybe next year.

Thanks for the pics. I recognized Kathy and Rob. And, I like your kilts, ... and that lovely smile on your "darlin' bride".

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

The kilts are the Firefighters Memorial from Rocky at USA Kilts, and the other is a Modern Johnston Casual from Locharron. The lovely smile, I hope, is via yours truly.

A great time was had by all...

I *do* have some pics -- now all I have to do is figure out how to get them from the camera and cell phone to here...

Great pics. I love all the "out and about" stuff on here.

Doesn't X Marker BroosterB1 [Bruce] live in Albuquerque? Not seen him around on here for ages, anyone know what he's up to? I hope all's well.
