I spent yesteday on board the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, a WWII Liberty ship, on San Francisco Bay. I am a volunteer crewmember of the O'Brien but spend yesterday as a guest, along with 800 other guests. We were supposed to escort the USS Iowa BB61 out of the bay on her way to her permanent home in southern California as a museum ship but due to severe weather conditions off the coast of southern Cal. she could not leave her dock here. She is being towed to southern Cal. as she has no power of her own any more. I thought the cruise was a good enough reason to go kilted and so I did. First pic is in the #2 hold of the O'Brien and the second pic is on the strbd side aft. It doesn't show well but I am wearing a pale yellow sweater vest under the jacket and not a white one.

Any day on the Jeremiah O'Brien is a good day!
Looking grand. I do like your Hunting Stewart Ancient...
Thanks guys. The Stewart Hunting Ancient was my first and still my favorite kilt. Now, you don't think the red beer cup and the red topped hose are too matchy matchy do ya?

Well, since you DID ask...I think you could have gone with a yellow solo cup or just reached into your closet and pulled out whatever color just happened to be there.
A red Solo cup is just so traditional, you can't go wrong!
Splendid outfit and outing! Cheers Jamie

Like the idea of the sweater - we don't see enough of those. Regards Chas
Very nice indeed! I am happy to see the neck tie has found a good home, and it looks very smart with your tartan by the way! Cheers,
