some reactions from DR.s at moms convention

well there are a few DR.s at the convention that me and dad talk too, dad had told one of them that knows us about me kilt and he said he wanted to see it, i got there and we showed it to him later that evening,i was wearing it of course, his wife who also knows us was cool about me wearing a kilt too, she even told mom to lighten up about it.

we where sitting there eating and the DR. and me got to talking about me fine kilt and he said that he would wear a kilt on ocassion and up pops his wife with a very definant no you wont if i have anything to say about it, i gave him one of utilikilts cards and told him who to talk too there.

i also got the walk nod and then double take from one of the other DR.s that me and dad know,he walked by as usual and nodded and said hi and then he got a couple of feet away and just stopped and stared for a minute and then came back and said one of us has got to be drunk, well me and dads reply was we had not had a thing to drink all day and he said he had not either, well he asked what clan i was from and i said none, if i would have thought about it i would have said utilikiltarian or x marks the scot, he would not have known the differance any way, well we got ta bsing about me kilt and we told him i was hopefully going to wear it to the pub that evening. we got to the pub and he asked where it was and i told him mum would not let me wear it .

then on sunday we checked out and left the convention and mom was better about me wearing me kilt by then, she realised it was not a joke, she asked some of her female friends if they had seen me kilt yesterday and they said they had saw me but did not realise it was a kilt and that they just thought it was shorts, wich later became a good comment because i told mom that most people would probably think it was shorts too, her friends asked if i had anything on under it, i told them i had on guiness boxers and they said ok.

i am still confused why chicks can ask that type of thing but if we ask them then we get slapped or worse

we also went to best buy and i got some looks and double takes there too but there was a lot of people there and none of them made any comments to me wich is a good thing.

anyway i had a fun time at something that i would have usualy been boared to tears at and it was because of me fine kilt.

    thanks

It's because we're better than they are. Well, not "better," exactly; we're just stronger, smarter and more capable.

Ha ha, just kidding! Actually, it comes down to sex. Asking about one's precious undergarments may be interpreted (or misinterpreted) as the opening round in negotiations into bed. There is a stereotype (supported by mounds of anecdotal evidence and personal experience) that women generally lean toward security and monogamy, while men lean toward conquest and multiplicity. Thus, women tend to be more selective, and men tend to want to inseminate everything in sight. Thus, women will react negatively to The Question, while men are expected to take it on the chin.

If a woman asks, you've got a few options. You can just say, like a dope. You can go into really graphic detail, since she brought it up. Since she brought it up, you can even play I'll-tell-you-if-you-tell-me-first. Or, if you REALLY believe in equality of the sexes, you can throw your drink in her face or give her a good slap, but don't expect the jury to see things from your point of view.

Unacceptable options include showing her, suing her or running from the room sobbing and wailing.

Me too, Bubba. Let's do all we can to preserve the mystique.

Kilt wearing would be only half the fun if everyone knew the answer!

I ran into a woman once that was pretty obnoxious about demanding to know. I told her " A wee bagpipe. Whould ya like a blow?" That ended THAT in a hurry.

I was aksed this once, by an older lady as I was getting on a plane to come home (dammit) from Vegas. I looked at her and told her that there were many not kind answers to that question, and that I'd leave it to her immagination. We all had a laugh.
Yes we'd get shot, hit, slapped, keel hauled, sued, and arrested (not likely in that order) if we asked the same of a woman. But they are the fairer sex, we are just rough and tumble and can be insulted.
A study just showed that after a heated debate between 2 men and 2 women, the men were very interested in dating the women, but the women wanted nothing more to do with the men. This supports the theroy that men create relationships through discussion, argument, insult and intellect, but this turns women off.
Challenge a man and we are aroused to the fight, challenge a woman and she will go moody, cold and you are wondering what the hell you did this time.

    Go figur.

I'll tell you what I'm wearing if you tell me what your wearing. Then immediately turn to your mom and say well she started it.
