Rabble,
I have just rented "Murdoch Mysteries, Season 4, Disc 01". In Episode #02,"Kommando" at about mid-way the movie, there is a 'kilt scene'. Briefly, the camera is set high & focused on a dark door handle, in a dark paneled room, a hand appears, the door opens, & you see a red ground(Royal Stewart??) kilt, w/ chained fur front, cantel sporran. The camera moves back and to the left(stage right), & we see the actor:, blond hair in a que, open grey shirt, neck scarf & grey weskit(the Show is set in circa 1890). The actor "Mr. Skinner: "moves to an upright, plain wooden chair, the camera has him in frame from calves to head, and with that curious motion of hips & knees, sits in the chair without touching the kilt, and the kilt just lies their like a 2nd hide. Lovely, to watch, hard to do, I think I have done it twice in my Kilt Life. The scene lasts all of a minute, but is Well Done, no comic gags,no sly looks or comments(Canada TV is less 'cautious' of slighting some sector of the Nation than the US is). The lead actor, "Murdoc" looks 'bemused', but 'polite'. about the barkeeper in a kilt(said bar-keeper also runs an illlegal boxing club-which sounds right in keeping with the Canadian Scot.
I'll have to go back & get the Actors name!
As Ever
